About

I really think music and movement - dance, you know - and literature inform my visuals. I think film is also based in dance. The relationship between me, the camera and the actor is always a dance.

Christopher Doyle "Paranoid Park" (2007), "Hero" (2002) and "2046" (2004)…

Dancer and Franco-Egyptian filmmaker, I developed a practice combining stage work, pedagogy, and choreographic creation for the camera.

The years spent at the SP/CZD center in Catania (Sicily, Italy) taught me to listen to bodies, their dynamics and tactilities, and to translate these tensions into a cinematic writing of movement.

In Rome, working with directors of photography refined my understanding of light and the subtleties of perception and visual composition.

Since 2025, I have returned to choreographic creation to pursue an intuition left unresolved: rediscovering the force of danced movement through a dialogue between guided improvisation and structured choreographic writing. I need the dancers to know one another deeply so that “the dance that dances” can emerge fully.
